Campaign “Merry Christmas”
During the 6th to 21st December 2010, we held our first campaign, called "Merry Christmas", to help bring, “a little extra happiness”, to local children. Employees and suppliers alike participated actively in the campaign to raise funds for presents. With these generous contributions, we were able to purchase, a truly marvelous amount (167) toys for children, aged 1 to 10 years old.
After the campaign, (on 23rd December) we visited the Centro de ApoioFlor do Amanhã located at Rua Cristiano Aurélio Silva, 679, Nova Holanda, Macaé, RJ - in order to distribute the toys collected. We delivered toys to approximately 50 children. The toys that were left over were the Given to, Mr. Luiz, president of the Center. He then took over the important responsibility of their future distribution.
It is one of the most gratifying things in the world to look at smiles on the, “little faces”, of children and we feel we have contributed somewhat in bringing joy and happiness to the Nova Holanda community.
IRM Services appreciates the co-operation, of all its staff and suppliers, in making this project a reality. We can safely say, everyone involved in this venture, feels a great deal of personal and communal satisfaction. We can also confirm that, due to its great success, the campaign will not be ending there. In fact we will continue to take the lead, by contributing to this scheme, and others, so as to bring forth, a socially rich community spirit, incorporating the true sense of social responsibility.
