The IRM software package is based on a live SQL Server system that allows the client to manage all aspects of their equipment; from establishing and verifying all test and inspection records to certification along with identifying the location of each individual item. The system has been developed by IRM over a period of several years by encompassing the requirements of our clients and those of our inspection Engineers. The resulting system is in great demand, particularly in today’s climate, where the client has to provide the relevant safety authorities, details of any self certification schemes and how it complies with the “Duty of Care” stipulations. This is not only for the safety of its own employees but also for sub-contractors engaged in activities onboard their installation.
The database can be left at your Base as well as the offshore location. Equipment can, therefore, also be inspected and logged, at the base, prior to being sent offshore.
This database is used on locations throughout the world and proved to be a great success.
The comprehensive live reporting system affords the client the flexibility to update and control all items of equipment on an on-going basis. Considerable cost savings can be achieved particularly on subsequent surveys by reducing the examiners reporting time. The final report package is presented in hard copy and disc format, which, is forwarded to the client within 7 working days from survey completion.
IRM Services developed the following system, to ease the control and access of rig certification, inspection and defect reports. The basic principle is to save time on reporting and given better access to inspection results via an online database.
The key advantages of the IRM Certification Management System are:
- A consolidated inventory of items requiring Non Destructive Testing (NDT).
- Internet access to reports and facility to download additional PDF/Hard copies.
- Summary of defects by risk level, highlighting urgent and high risk items.
- Generate priority items for inspection report, for equipment overdue for Inspection
or in use during last inspection. - Complete Inspection history of each item on the inventory, including inspection and
photographic report. Making full report history accessible, after a rig manager/ OIM
change over. - Inspector reporting time saved by means of an onsite Palm.
- CMS can be integrated with rig maintenance system to ensure PMS tasks are completed.
- Optional RFID (Radio-Frequency Identification) Chip can be installed on each item.
The chip can then be scanned via a handheld palm, for rig/inspection personnel to view
